How does the nervous system controls all the other systems of our body?

The nervous system is a highly specialized network, which contains billions of neurons. Nervous system consists of brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and autonomic nerves, which coordinate all movements, thoughts and sensations. It is responsible for controlling and coordinating all the functions of the body by transmitting messages or signals from the brain to the different parts of the body and vice versa.
