How does the poet express futility of wars in the poem no men are doreign by james kirkup

Dear Student,

In his poem, No Men are Foreign, James Kirkup describes war in terms of misery and destruction. Wars causes starvation to millions of people just like winter causes starvation to many people; whenever we are told to hate others we are actually hating our brothers because our enemies are just like us - human beings; and, every time we take up arms, we are actually defiling humanity, defiling the earth because we are destroying innocence  and depriving ordinary people from their right to peaceful existence.
