How ethylene breaks the dormancy of buds, seeds and storage oragns.
What could be these storage organs?
Dear student,
Ethylene induces the synthesis of abscissic acid which produces abscissin resulting in formation of enzymes which changes membrane permeability, transcriptional and translational activity which further slows down the metabolic processes leading to dormancy.
Storage organ is the part of plant modified for storing energy, example: rhizome.
