how gas vacuoles are inclusion bodies?

Gas vacoules are not inclusion bodies but the type of inclusion bodies. These are gas storing vacoules and they do not have any covering of a own. The gas vacoules are found in cyanobacteria, purple and green photosynthetic bacteria and a few other aquatic forms that are free floating. The gas vacoules are basically aggregates of a number of small hollow, cylindrical gas vesicles. Due to the presence of gas vacoules, the bacteria keep floating on or near the surface of water. These gas vacoules heolp the bacteria in positioning themselves in the water during day time for trapping sunlight photosynthesis. They are also useful in avoiding intense sunlight which may be harmful to the bacteria.
