How have human needs undergone changes with the passage of time and technological development?

With the passage of time, human history has seen drastic changes which have affected our lifestyle greatly. Now-a-days we need more than just our 3 basic needs (food, shelter and clothes). We need money. Money has become one of our greatest needs. If we don't have money, we cannot afford our needs and wants. We need a job to earn money. We need education to understand the difference between good and bad, pure and evil, right and wrong. But the most important thing we need is DISCIPLINE. Without discipline, our life will become a mess. It already has. We take the fact that we have our three basic needs for granted. We need to revive the power of reasoning within us. We need peace. The Industrial Revolution had its own good sides but it also led to the development of fatal weapons. This has resulted in causing war. It has changed our needs and priorities dramatically.
