1. Appiko movement- Appiko movement was started with the aim to save the tropical forests of the western ghats..
2. Chipko movement- Chipko movement was started in 1970’s in the Himalayas of Uttar Pradesh with the aim to prevent the illegal deforestation and destruction of forest and and trees.
