How human ear catches sound

Dear student,

When the object vibrates, it collides with the molecules in the medium. This collision produces vibrations in the medium too. The vibrations in the medium spread out through it, and when reaches our ear, it is sensed by the ear drum. The sensed vibrations are converted to electrical signals by the cochlear nerve and passed to the brain. The brain interprets these electrical signals as sound.

through pinna.

for example we can take a speaker and a human which is at the distance of 2 metre. The speaker produce sound by vibration. When it vibrates its molecules and then air molecules vibrates and through this our ear molecules vibrates and it comes to our ear and our pinna vibrates we hear sound.

Our ear catches sound by the outer part of the ear called pinna which has no bone and then it is sent inside of the ear called ear bud

Dear friend,
Human ear catches sounds due to vibration. A part of the ear receives a vibration and then sends to brain to recognize.
Hope it helps.
