how is a map more useful then the globe

A map includes a title scale, direction, grid, conventional signs and symbols, and colours to show variety of information. All these features are termed as the language of map. Which we do not find in a globe .

A map is useful than a globe because
* It is easier to carry.
*It shows more details than a globe.

Basically if you see a globe then of course you can find all countries in world but you wont be able to mark where the cities are . But if you compare this with map then the map has a upper hand cause it can tell us where the city is . If this is not understandable then you can take the example of an atlas . At least it will tell you where the actual city is . And atlas falls under categories of maps

A globe is useful when we want to study the Earth as a whole. But, when wewant to study only a part of the Earth, it is of little help. For this purpose, we usemaps. A map can represent the entire Earth’s surface or a part of it.
Maps can be used to show the physical features of the Earth (mountains, plains,oceans, rivers, etc.), the political divisions of the Earth (countries, states, cities,villages, etc.), and certain specific information (roads, rainfall, forests, industries,etc.)
