how is a matured functional insulin hormone different from its pro hormone form

Dear student,
Insulin consist of two polypeptide chains A and B which are connected with disulphide bridges. Pro-Insulin form is synthesised in mammals which needs some modifications to form mature insulin. Pro-insulin contains extra C- Peptide which needs to be removed to form mature and functional insulin.
