how is CNG obtained ? what are its main uses?

Natural gas is obtained by drilling holes into the rocks and then inserting pipelines into the same. CNG (which is mainly methane) is obtained by compressing this natural gas.

CNG produced from LNG which is liquified natural gas. When you release LNG and vaporise it expands 600 times. That difference provides the compression and this compressed gas then filled in to the presurrised vessels and stored - This is called CNG. (Compressed Natural Gas)

it is being used as a fuel for transport vehcles because it is less polluting
