how is solubility related to temperature

Dear student,

For many solids dissolved in liquid water, the solubility increases with temperature. The increase in kinetic energy that comes with higher temperatures allows the solvent molecules to more effectively break apart the solute molecules that are held together by intermolecular attractions.
Thus, increasing the temperature generally increases the solubilities of substances. For example, sugar and salt are more soluble in water at higher temperatures. However, as the temperature increases, the solubility of a gas in a liquid decreases.

Solubility is related to temperature because solubility of a substance is directly proportional to the temperature. If temperature increases then the solubility also increases.

When the temperature increases the solubility also increases whereas when the temperature decreases the solubility decreases
