how is the single touch method of megnetism different from the double touch method

in a single touch method we use one magnet to magnetise the materrial but is double touch method we use two magnets to magnetise a material

In single touch method, stroke is done by one bar magnet in same direction but in double touch method, stroke is done by two bar magnets and in opposite direction.
