How is transpiration low when the air is humid ??

Dear student,
Please find below the solution to the asked query

When humidity (amount of moisture in air) is less, atmosphere will be less moist and increases the driving force for transpiration This is because evaporation of water from the leaf surface (transpiration) becomes easier in the air which contains less moisture or is dry.
When humidity is high, the atmosphere contains more moisture and it decreases the driving force for transpiration.

If it is too humid evaporation will decrease as the atmosphere already has a lot of moisture and the water vapour does not have space to stay after evaporation . this is why we sweat on a humid day.
