How is work done on an electron of mass m and charge e is eV???

Dear Student, Potential difference is defined as work done per unit charge in moving it from one potential to another. So simply we can say, V = W/q. And from this we can find that W = qV and if we have electron as charge particle then, W=eV. Regards
