How many bricks each measuring length is 18cm breadth is 12cm and height is 10cm will be required to build a wall 12m long, 6dm wide and 4.5m high when 1/10 of its volume is occupied by mortar ? Find also the cost of bricks at Rs.225 per 100 bricks.

Since it is given that 1/10 of volume is occupied with mortar  so total bricks required to  cover is 9/10 volume of wall ,
Now  volume of the wall = 1200* 60 *450 cm3
Volume that will be covered by brick = (1200* 60 *450*9)/10
Volume of each brick = 18*12*10 cm3
So number of bricks required to build a wall =  (1200* 60 *450*9)/(18*12*10*10 ) = 13500
Now cost of 100 bricks = 225
so cost of 13500 brick= 225 * 135 = Rs. 30375
