how many meiotic divisions are required to form 400 seeds of wheat (ans is 500 but how???)

Dear student,
The number of meiotic divisions required to produce 400 seeds of wheat are 500.
We know that one pollen mother cell produces 4 pollen grains and one egg mother cell forms 1 egg only.
We have total of 400 seeds.
One seed will be formed from one sperm and one egg.
Thus,we need 400 eggs and so it will have 400 meiotic divisions and we need 400 sperms from the 100 meiotic divisions ( one pollen mother cell produces 4 pollen grains from 1 meiotic division).
Total number of meiotic divisions will be 400+ 100=500 meiotic divisions.
