How many minimum Genes are required for quantitative inheritance?
Dear Student
Quantitative inheritance also known as polygenic inheritance is a type of inheritance in which a single trait is controlled by more than one gene. It produces a continuous traits and sometimes intermediate forms are produced. Here, one dominant allele controls only a partial trait. E.g, skin colour in human beings is controlled by about six genes.
So, minimum number of genes required for Quantitative inheritance is two.
