Your question seems to be incomplete. But assuming your question to be "in terms of mitotic divisons" ; here is the answer accordingly.
Total number of cells= N x 2n (N=initial number of cells that had undergone mitosis, n = number of cycles
Here, N = 1 and during mitosis each cell produces 2 new cells
Therefore, ​1 x 2n = 512
2n = 29
n = 9 cycles
