how many times does a wheel of radius 28cm must rotate to go 325cm??(I wanted to know why should we multiply 325 with 100???

Dear Student ,

Please find below the solution to the asked query :

Radius of wheel=28 cmCircumference of wheel=2πr=2×227×28=176 cmSo,Distance covered in one revolution=176 cmNo. of rotations to go 325 cm=325176=1.85 rotationsIf distance given as 325 mthen we have to multiply it with 100 , to convert it in to cm.

radius = 28 cm.
Circumference of wheel = 2pie r
                                       = 2 x 22/7 x 28
                                       = 176 cm
Area covered in 1 rotation = 176cm2
We can also write it as
No. of rotations cover in 176 cm2 area = 1
No. of rotations covered in 325 cm2 area = 325 / 176
                                                                   = 1.85
( there is no need to multiply it with 100 and in the question in which 352 was multiplied by 100 was given in m unit, so to convert it into cm

  • -1
325m = (325×100)cm. =32500cm
