How molecules are different from atoms

Dear student,
Molecules are group of atoms fused together to form a compound or in elemental form. For e.g O2 exist in elemental form and CO2 is group of molecules of C and O. CO2 has different properties than both C and O atoms.  Atoms on the other hand are fundamental particle that constitute the nature and have properties of element.. For example C and O .

Hope it helps,
Regards

Atoms are the smallest particles in an element that has the properties of an element... For example the Atoms of an element in Gold cannot be broken down further and each Atom has the properties of Gold. Molecules are formed by the combination of two or more Atoms
