How pollination carried out in water plants ?

Dear student

Pollination in water known as hydrophily takes place by two ways:
1. The flowers have  large, feathery stigmas that float in water to catch the pollen.
2. In some, aquatic plants, flowers are emerge into the air so that they are pollinated by insects.

Hydrophily takes place in aquatic plants. In ephydrophily, pollination occurs over the surface of water as pollen grains are without exine and lighter than water. In hypohydrophily, pollination occurs inside the water as pollen grains are without exine, with same specific gravity as that of water..........
