HOW SOIL IS FORMED PLEASE GIVE ME THE ANSWER IN DEATIL.

Dear Student,
Soil is formed by weathering or breaking down of rocks by the action of wind, water produces small particles of various materials. These include sand and clay. There are 2 types of weathering.
• Physical weathering : This type of weathering is the breakdown of rock into smaller particles due to factors such as freezing and thawing, contraction from the sun etc
• Chemical weathering: This type of weathering is due to the dissolution, carbonation, oxidation or hydrolysis of rock by chemical means, mostly from reactions with water or acids .
The mixture of rock particles, sand, clay and humus is called the soil. In addition to these, living organisms, such as bacteria, plant roots and earthworm are also important parts of any soil.
