How the abundance of elements get changed from fresh weigh to dry weight?

Abundance of elements in plant tissue gets changed from fresh weight to dry weight because some of the elements and compounds are volatile in nature and when they are made dry by heating then they leave the tissue which can also be collected by different methods. So, when tissue is made into dry weight the abundance of elements changes.
