How the stocmach of ruminants is different from ours?

The stomach of ruminants contain four compartments including rumen. In rumen, plant derived foods are digested by microbes present inside the rumen. Human do not have a functional rumen and thus plant derived foods containing cellulose and fibres can not be digested by humans. Foods of ruminants are digested in stomach by microbes as well as enzymes produced in the stomach whereas human digest their foods in stomach by using only enzymes.
