How to convert active to passive voice

In active voice, the sentence is of the following form:
Subject (doer of the action) + Verb (action) + object(receiver of the action)
Eg :- Rohit (Subject) hit (verb) the ball (object).
In passive voice, the sentence constructed has the following form :
Subject (receiver of the action) + be( helping verb) + verb (action) + object (doer of the action).
Let us see how to convert the sentence in the above example into passive voice
Receiver of action - the ball
verb - hit
Doer of the action - Rohit
The sentence becomes :
The ball was hit by Rohit.
