HOW TO DO?
The pH of pure water at 25°C is 7. If water is heated to boil, then
(A) pH will decrease and water will become acidic
(B) pH will increase and water will become basic
(C) pH will decrease but water will remain neutral
(D) pH will remain 7

Dear student,

At room temperature (25 degrees Celsius) the pH of pure water is 7. If you increase the temperature to 100 degrees Celsius, the pH of pure water is 6.14, which is still neutral on the pH scale even though it is lower than 7.
