How to find point of intersection of two lines ?

TO find the point of intersection of two line you have to follow these steps,given below
to find the point of intersection algebraically
1.Solve each equation for y
2.Set the two expressions for y equal to each other
3. solve for X value
4.plug the  value of X into the orginal equation to find the corresponding y value
5.these value of X and Y are the value of point of intersection of two line.
