The square root of 3 is find out by long division method as:

⇒√3 = 1.7320508

Similarly, square root of 28 is find out as:

√28 = √(2 × 2 × 7)  = 2√7

Again, the square root of 7 is also find put by long division method and we get √7 = 2.645

Therefore, √28 =  2√7 = 2 × 2.645 = 5.29

Hence, the approximate value of √28 = 5.29
