How to find volume of this

Hii Perkiti, 
Since the volume of one cube is given to be 1 $c{m}^3$. So we can calculate the volume of the given figure by simply counting the number of cubes . 
For first figure , the number of cubes are 8 . Therefore the volume is 8 $c{m}^3$.
Similarly for second figure, the number of cubes are 20. Therefore the volume is 20 $c{m}^3$.
