How to solve 1st question?
Dear Student
A vector pointing towards N-E direction and having magnitude 3 kg m s-1 is when multiplied by an scalar -4 then its new magnitude is
(4 x3) kg m s-1 12 kg m s-1.
Due to "-" sign in scalar now the direction of vector becomes just opposite to N-E that is S-W.
As it will represent same physical quantity only magnitude and direction changes.
