how to solve questions from periodic classification of elements ?
Hi,
I would suggest you to go through the chapter thoroughly. After understanding the concepts of the chapter practice as many as questions you can do.
For example : a) Element X and Y belongs to same group and valency of X is 5. Find valency of Y.
Solution. Valency of Y is also 5 because X and Y belongs to same group and have same number of valence electron so valency is also same.
b) The electronic configuration of element A is 2, 8, 1. A react with element B with atomic number 17. Name the compound formed.
solution : element with electronic configuration 2, 8, 1 is Na and element wit atomic number 17 is Chlorine.
Sodium react with Chlorine to form sodium chloride.
Regards
