How was Gandhiji able to influenced lawyers at Champaran?

Dear Student,

To influence lawyers, Gandhiji decided to held a talk with them. He asked the lawyers what would they do if he was sentenced to prison. The lawyers replied that if it was so, they would go home. Then, Gandhiji asked them about the injustice to the sharecroppers. The lawyers held consultations. They came to the conclusion that it would be shameful desertion if they went home. So, they decided that they were ready to follow Gandhiji to jail.
