how was gulliver saved from the monkey
Gulliver had a narrow escape when he was caught by a monkey. It so happened that Gulliver was alone in his closet when the monkey mistook him for a baby monkey. He grabbed Gulliver and carried him out of Glumdalclitch's room, climbed to a roof nearby, and started stuffing Gulliver. Though a small crowd gathered to get the monkey to free Gulliver, they could not do much. Some of the people threw up stones in the hope to drive the monkey down but it did not help. After this ladders were applied and mounted by several men. The monkey observed this and when he found himself almost encompassed, he dropped Gulliver.
