How was the thinking pf B.R Amedkar was different from Mahatama in making the indian constitution

There is no such differences between B.R. Ambedkar and Gandhi in regard to the making of the Constitution but they had ideological differences.

Gandhi and Ambedkar were equally critical about the caste system, and particularly, about the treatment of the untouchables by the upper caste. However, they differed with respect to the measures required to eradicate the evil of the caste system.

Gandhi believed in using non-violent means to appeal to the “sense of morality” of the upper caste oppressors. Ambedkar believed more in taking recourse to law for fighting oppression against Dalits.

Ambedkar supported the concept of separate electorates for the lower castes and untouchables. This was because he had little faith in the intentions of upper caste legislators to work for the welfare of the untouchables. Gandhi, however, was opposed to separate electorates as he felt it would divide Indian society. Eventually, a compromise was reached between the two in the form of the Poona Pact under which there would be reserved seats for the lower castes in the legislative assemblies.
