How will you explain Precipitate  ?

DEAR STUDENT,
The precipitate can be defined as a substance separated from a solution or suspension by chemical or physical change usually as an insoluble amorphous or crystalline solid. Precipitates can form when two soluble salts react in solution to form one or more insoluble products.

soluble salt 1 + soluble salt 2 → insoluble salt (precipitate)

dear student,
A precipitation reaction is a reaction in which soluble ions in separate solutions are mixed together to form an insoluble compound that settles out of solution as a solid. That insoluble compound is called a precipitate.
Example : When lead nitrate is treated with sulphuric acid , a white precipitate of lead sulphate is formed.
Pb(NO3)2 + H2SO4     →   PbSO4  + 2HNO3

hope this helps.
