how will you show that for a substance to burn,it is essential to reach its ignition temperature

1. Ignition temperature is the temperature at which the energy of the substance is enough to undergo phase change along with decomposition.

2. This ignition temperature is different for different substance. For e.g if you want to burn wood, you must have noticed, that when you take a block of wood, it does not burn right away.  First, it requires to get heated up, then it burns.

3. Thus, it shows that ignition temperature is required for a substance to burn.
