how would it be an 'exotic moment'?
In the poem “Keeping Quiet” the poet visualizes the gain that a man will have by maintaining silence for a while. He pleads everyone to keep silence for twelve seconds. He requests everyone neither to speak in any language nor move their arms. He apprehends that by maintaining the silence there would be exotic charm in the atmosphere. There wouldn’t be any hurry or sound of engines. Fishermen would stop killing fishes and men who collect salt would take time to look into their injured hands. So they will have time for their own problems. The war mongers would stop raging wars and so tolls of innocent lives would be saved. The language of love and compassion would thus fill the air. Everyone, thus, would find themselves in unexpected but desired strangeness
