I am confused whether Sam found the third level or not?

Dear Student,

Yes , Sam visited the third level . 

Sam sent a first day letter when he was present in the third level stating that he had found the third level and even asked Charley to keep looking for it as it is worth it. Moreover ,he also found that Sam had bought eight hundred dollars worth of old style currency.

Sam sent the letter when he was in the third level that is in the past, when Charley was not born. Therefore, he sent the letter to his grandfather's address.
