i cannot understand the meaning of suspended particulate matter..... plz explain me in brief and also explain tthis diagram too........

Dear Student,

Actually particulate matters are a kind of air pollution called particles or particulate matter which are the most common to affect people's health. They are tiny pieces of solid or liquid matter associated with the Earth's atmosphere. They are suspended in the atmosphere as atmospheric aerosols.

Since, the particulate matters remains hanged or suspended in the atmospheric air as small discrete mass particles, so they are called as the suspended particulate matters. 

Further, the flow chart given above explains all types of pollutants which remain suspended with air and cause pollution like, virus, smoke, soot, smog, moulds, cement dusts etc. These all the given substances are the particulate matters which are harmful and cause pollution of air.
