i cant able to understand inertia of rest and motion how to apply in which q and how i cant able to understand the momentum

Dear student,
Inertia: It is the property of an object to oppose a change in its state is called inertia.
Inertia of rest: the property of an object to oppose the change in the state of rest when anyone tries to change in its state of rest.
Example: An object placed over a table will oppose when anyone tries to move it.
Inertia of motion: the property of an object to oppose the change in the state of motion when anyone tries to change in its state of motion.
Example: When an object is moving over a frictionless surface will try to oppose when anyone tries to stop it.
Momentum: The product of mass and its velocity, it is called the momentum of the object at that point. Its unit is Kgms-1. It is a vector quantity i.e it has magnitude and direction. The direction of momentum is in the direction of the velocity of the object.
