(i) Has the cell sap which has a higher concentration than that of the surrounding water so that plants can absorb water by osmosis.
(ii) Osmosis is the process of diffusion of water molecules from the region of higher concentration to the region of lower concentration through a semi-permiable membrane.
As both the above sentences are right....
But in (i) it is written that the
Water from the soil which has lower concentration moves to the root hair which has higher concentration throgh osmosis.
But
Osmosis is the process in which the water moves from higher concentration to lower concentration...
So, Sir please explain it .. it is bit confusing
Please explain it in hindi
Hindi
Hindi
if possible..
Lower to higher or Higher to lower..
Please explain it fast...

Dear student, In that case reverse osmosis takes place. Reverse osmosis is a process in which the water is transported from a lower concentrated medium through a semi-permeable membrane to a high concentration medium by the use of energy from ATP(andenosine tri phosphate).on the other hand osmosis is the movement of water molecules from a solution of higher water potential to a solution of lower water potential through a semi-permeable membrane until an equilibrium is reached.
