I HAVE SOME HOTS QUESTIONS............ANSWER ANY YOU KNOW..........

1)A single cell can perform all the functions of life, why do we need many cells?

2) In what way the number of cells related to the size of

the organisms?

3)Do plant cell need a cell wall? Justify your answer

4) If nucleus is not there, what would happen to the cell?

5)Do plant cell need a very large vacuole? Justify your answer.

1.In multicellular organisms, cells form tissue, tissue forms organ, organ forms organ system. Thus, eachorgan system is specializedto perform a particular function. In this way, the overall efficiency of the body increases. That is why multicellular organisms have longer life span. In unicellular organisms all the important function of the body are performed by a single cell. There is no division of labour in unicellular organisms. That is why unicellular organisms are less efficient and have shorter life span.2.the number of cells present in an individual depends on the size of the individual. In short the size of the cells is directly proportional to the rate and duration of growth and inversely proportional to the rate of division.4.Nucleus is the main component/brain of the cell. If nucleus is only absent, then the cell won't be able to perform it's functions and i dies.well im not to sure about the 3rd and the 5thif u want those answers then paste each of them in a sinle query

3. Plant Cell requires a cell wall as the plants have to withstand many unfavourable conditions. They are also helpless. So therefore, cell wall is needed in them to provide shape, protection and rigidness to them.

5. Vacuole in plants contains cell sap, which is not present in animal cells. The force exerted by the cell sap makes the vacuole large. I don't think that it really needs a bigger vacuole. It's a feature...

For Q4, I wud like to add on... - Nucleus is termed as the brain or the activity centre of the cell. So, when the Nucleus is not there, there won't be a control centre. So the same cells may end up performing harmful functions and releasing harmful acids which could ultimately result in the death of the cell...

Pls like if u find these answers good. Also, answers by Hiba ^ are good....

1. There are some special functions which some special cells can do. For ex.writing ,talking ,holding etc.You can see these functions can not be done by amoeba.
2. As large as organism will there would be more number of cells in it.
3. Plant cell need cell wall to protect itself and it also help in keeping its shape.
4.As we know the nucleus is the brain of cell.Like our brain controls our body function the nucleus control the function of cells.
5.Yes , it need a very a very large vacuole because they need something to store if there is no extra space they store it in these vacuoles .
