| Wednesday October 31 20xx 9 PM Dear Diary, Today I had a sad but profound experience. Our school had organised a visit to an orphanage for our class today. We carried cake and cookies for the inhabitants and presented a song recital for them. I was saddened to learn that some of the children had been abandoned by their parents. Others had been left without guardians after a natural disaster or an accident that had wiped out their families. I felt great anguish to learn that so many kids grew up without the love and care of their parents! Despite their many hardships, the children were cheerful and appreciative of our visit. I am very thankful to God for giving me the loving shelter of my parents. I have decided to celebrate my birthdays in future with the children in the orphanage. Bye! ABC |
