Here are the colours of certain compounds-
Potassium dichromate - Orange
Potassium permanganate - Violet
Ferrous sulphate - Green
Ferric sulphate - Yellow
Ferric hydroxide- Green
Ferrous hydroxide- Orange or reddish-brown
Ferrous chloride- Yellow
Ferric chloride- Reddish brown
Iron sulphide- Black
Copper carbonate- Green
Copper sulphate- Blue
Copper sulphide- Black
Maximum metals are silver or grey in colour.
