Answer :

Integers : Integers are like whole numbers, including negative numbers but no fractions .

As :  {    . . . , - 5  , - 4 ,  - 3 ,  - 2 , - 1 , 0 , 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , . . . }
 

We use integers in so many ways , As  :

1 )  If profit are represented by positive integer then losses by negative integers.

2 ) If heights above sea level by positive integers then depths below sea level by negative integers.

3 ) If rise in price is represented by positive integers, then fall in price by negative integers .

4 ) If temperature above 0° represented by positive integers , If below 0° by negative integers .

And

We can arrange our integers as per the query , As write integers  - 2  , - 1  , 0 ,  1 , 2 , 3 , 8  in ascending order  , So we get

  - 2  < - 1  < 0 <  1 < 2 < 3 < 8

Or If We want to write these integers in descending order , We get


8 < 3 < 2 < 1 < 0 < - 1 < - 2

And

When we say integers are not commutative under subtraction , that means

a -   b    b  -  a  for integers , As

if we have a  =  b  =  1 ( Or any other value )

we get

1  -  1 =  1 - 1

0 = 0

But

If we take a  =  1  , b = 2 , So we get

1 - 2 =  2 - 1

- 1   1

That's why we do not consider commutative under subtraction
