Imagery is a literary device that is used to create images in the mind of the reader. It is used to enhance reader's experience through their senses.

a) He clasps the crag with crooked hands : This line evokes the readers experience in such a way that they can actually visualise seeing the eagle clasping its prey using its claws. Also it makes the reader visualise the sound the claws would have made when they clasped the crag. (Visual and auditory imagery) 
b) Close to the sun in lonely land : The imagery presented helps the reader to visualise the eagle perched on a high cliff where no one dwells or lives. (Visual imagery) 
c) Ringed with the azure world, he stands: This line shows that the eagle is flying very high surrounded by the blue sky. (Visual imagery) 
d) the wrinkled sea beneath him crawls,‘He watches from his mountain walls: Through this imagery the readers can visualise that the eagle is perched very high somewhere on top of a high mountain and from there it can see something crawling in the sea. (Visual imagery) 
e) like a thunderbolt, he falls : The readers can visualise that like a bolt of lightning the eagle swoops down upon its prey. They can also visualise the sound with which it pouces on its prey. (Visual and auditory imagery)
