So; 23 of a number = 2x3And 47 of a number = 4x7Now according to the question we have;2x3=4x7+1⇒2x3-4x7 = 1⇒14x-12x21=1⇒2x21=1⇒2x=21⇒x=212=1012Therefore the number is 1012
