If a element M has mass number 24 and atomic number 12 , how many neutrons does it's atom contain ?

Dear student,

Mass number = 24
Atomic number = 12
Number of electrons = Number of protons = 12
Number of neutrons = Mass number - Number of protons
                                   = 24 - 12
                                   = 12
Hence, the total neutrons are 12.

Atomic mass - No. Of protons = 24-12 = 12 Total nutrons are 12
