if a small opaque object is placed in front of a large source of light then the shadow formed will be umbra or penumbra ????????
- Umbra: It is the darkest part of the shadow and it is formed when the source of light is completely obstructed.
- Penumbra: It is the nearly shadow region and it is formed when the source of light is partially obstructed.
- In the case of small opaque object, the whole source of light can't be obstructed.
- So, the shadow consists both umbra and penumbra regions.
