In ∆APD and ∆CPB, we have∠DAP = ∠CBP  Angles in same segment      AP = PC          As BD bisects AC∠APD = ∠BPC    Vertically opposite angles∆APD ≅ ∆CPB  ASA⇒AD = BC  CPCT⇒AD = BC = 12 cm
